Who we are
NBA Clinic is the trading name of NBA Clinic Ltd, company number 16237629, a beauty salon and laser clinic at 92 High Street, Barkingside, Ilford IG6 2DR. We are responsible for the personal information described on this page. To ask us anything about it, call us on 020 3887 2181 or ask at the salon.
What we collect
When you book, we hold your name, your phone number and the details of your appointment. Most treatments are booked on Treatwell, which passes your booking to us. Laser and aesthetic treatments are booked by phone, and you can also book or walk in at the salon.
Before laser and skin treatments, and at patch tests and consultations, we ask about your health: for example skin conditions, medicines you take, pregnancy or conditions such as diabetes. Health information is special category data under UK GDPR. We ask for it only so we can tell whether a treatment is safe for you and carry it out safely, and we do not use it for anything else.
We only take or use a photograph of you or your treatment with your consent, and we only publish one with your written consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Booking on Treatwell
Our online booking runs on Treatwell (treatwell.co.uk). When you book there, Treatwell collects your booking details and any payment you make through it, and sends your confirmation. Treatwell's own privacy notice covers the information you enter on Treatwell.
Messaging us on WhatsApp
If you message us on WhatsApp, your message and your phone number are handled by WhatsApp (Meta) and stored in our customer messaging system, GoHighLevel (also known as LeadConnector), so we can reply to you. WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies to your use of the WhatsApp app.
This website
This website has no contact form, no chat window and no advertising tracking. You cannot send us personal information through it.
We use Google Analytics to see how people find and use the site, and only set its cookies if you choose Accept on the cookie banner. These are Google's analytics cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID), which last up to two years. They tell us which pages you visit, roughly where you are (town or region, not your address), what kind of device and browser you use, and when you click to book, call or contact us. Google Analytics does not log or store your IP address. Google processes this information for us, under its terms for Google Analytics, and may do so outside the UK.
If you choose Reject, no analytics cookies are set. Google still receives cookie-free signals, with nothing stored on your device, so we can count visits and booking clicks without identifying you. We use no advertising cookies either way. You can change your mind at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page; we keep your choice in your browser so we do not ask again on every page.
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare's servers log requests, including your IP address, to deliver the pages and to keep the site secure.
The map on our contact page comes from OpenStreetMap. When you open that page, your browser loads the map from OpenStreetMap's servers, which receive your IP address in order to send it.
The site links to Treatwell, Instagram, Google Maps and some health information sites. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy notice applies.
Who else sees it
Treatwell, for bookings made there, and Cloudflare and OpenStreetMap as described above. Google, which runs Google Analytics for us as described above. WhatsApp (Meta) and GoHighLevel (LeadConnector), for messages you send us on WhatsApp, as described above. We do not share the health information you give us with anyone else.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the reasons on this page. If you would like to know what we still hold, ask us.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call us on 020 3887 2181 or ask at the salon, and we will reply within one month. If you are not happy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
