45 minutes, or 60 with a tintYou lie back with your eyes closed. Your lashes are combed onto a small silicone shield on the eyelid, a lifting solution is applied, then a setting solution. If you have booked a lash lift and tint, the tint goes on at the end.

Good to know
- Tell us if you have sensitive eyes, an eye infection, recent eye surgery, or any allergy to hair dye or cosmetics before we start.
- If you wear contact lenses, bring your case: you will need to take them out for a lash lift or lash tint.
- Some people notice mild redness or a little stinging around the brows or eyes for a short while afterwards.
- A lash lift works on the lashes you have. Very short lashes still lift, but the change is smaller.
- If you have had a lash lift or brow lamination elsewhere recently, tell us, as treating hair again too soon can leave it dry.

Aftercare
Keep your lashes or brows dry and avoid steam, saunas and make-up on the area for the first 24 hours, so the shape and tint can settle. After that, a light conditioning oil or serum helps keep laminated brows and lifted lashes in good condition. Brush laminated brows into place each morning. We will go through the aftercare with you before you leave.
Lash lift and lash lift and tint
A lash lift is for lashes that grow straight or point down. It works on your own lashes, so there is no glue, no extensions to fill and nothing to pick off when it grows out. The lashes are shaped over a small silicone shield so the curl starts at the root, which is what makes eyes look more open.
A lash lift and tint is the same treatment with a tint at the end. Lashes are often lighter at the tips than people expect, and a tint makes the full length show. If your lashes are already very dark, a lash lift on its own may be enough.
Brow lamination
Brow lamination, sometimes called eyebrow lamination, is for brows that look thin, uneven or unruly. The hairs are softened, brushed into place and set, so the brow looks fuller and more even without pencil. It does not add hair that is not there, but it makes the most of the hair you have.

Lash and brow tints
Tints are the smallest change and the quickest booking. An eyebrow tint colours every hair, including the fine, fair ones, for a clearer outline without make-up. A lash tint darkens your lashes from root to tip, which suits people who cannot wear mascara. Book a lash and brow tint together and both are done in one short visit.
Before a wedding or event
Book a few days ahead rather than the day before, so any redness has settled. If it is your first lash lift or brow lamination, a trial a few weeks earlier shows how your lashes and brows take it.

How much does a lash lift or brow lamination cost?
Every lash and brow price is listed on this page and on our full price list, taken from our Treatwell menu. What changes the price is what you add: a lash lift on its own costs less than a lash lift and tint, and the same goes for brow lamination. Tints on their own are the quickest and lowest-priced option.
Does a lash lift hurt?
A lash lift should not hurt. You lie back with your eyes closed for most of the 45 minutes, and most people find it comfortable. Some feel a little stinging if solution gets close to the eye. If anything feels uncomfortable, tell your therapist straight away so they can stop and check. Sensitive eyes, allergies or recent eye problems are worth mentioning before you start.
How long does a lash lift take, and how long does it last?
A lash lift takes about 45 minutes, or about an hour with a tint. It usually lasts around six to eight weeks, because your lashes shed and regrow on their natural cycle, so the lift fades gradually rather than all at once. How long yours lasts depends on your own lash growth and how you look after them in the first day or two.
What is brow lamination, and is brow lamination and tint better?
Brow lamination softens the brow hairs so they can be brushed up and set in a fuller-looking, more even shape. It suits brows that are unruly, sparse in places or grow in different directions. Adding a tint deepens the colour, which helps if your brows are fair or greying. If your brows are already dark, lamination on its own may be all you need.
Is there any downtime after a lash lift or eyebrow lamination?
There is no real downtime, and you can go straight back to your day. For the first 24 hours keep the area dry, skip steam and saunas, and leave off mascara or brow make-up so the shape can settle. Mild redness, if you get any, usually settles quickly. We go through aftercare with you before you leave.
Do I need a patch test for an eyebrow tint or lash tint?
A patch test is the safe way to start, because tints and lifting solutions can cause a reaction in some people even if they have used similar products before. It is free on our Treatwell menu and takes about five minutes. Have it at least 24 hours before a lash lift or brow lamination, so the result is known before your appointment. Ask when you book if you are having a tint.
Can I have a lash and brow tint in the same appointment?
You can book an eyebrow and eyelash tint together as one appointment, which takes about 20 minutes. You can also pair a lash lift with a brow lamination by booking both on Treatwell. If you are short of time, tell us when you book and we will let you know how long the visit is likely to take.
